Laurie was born and raised in San Antonio and is the daughter of Michael Baucum and Laura Bertetti Baucum. She attended Keystone School (Class of 2000) and Trinity University (Class of 2003). After college, she went to work learning the title business, and had the opportunity to work in every department and unit of a locally owned title company, including the abstract plant, customer service and a commercial closing unit.

Laurie is a 2010 graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year. Her practice focuses on real estate, probate and estate planning, as well as document preparation for title companies.

​

Laurie is an active member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Bar and has been on the faculty of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section's Real Estate 101 CLE for several years.

​

Laurie is a graduate of the inaugural Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section Leadership Academy.

​

Laurie is a proud member of the Junior League of San Antonio, an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. 

​

Laurie loves freehand embroidery,  historical fiction and road trips to Marfa and Fort Davis, Texas.
